Recycling Program

The Recycling Program is bi-weekly with the scheduled pickup for recycling is every other week on the same day as your garbage pickup. Since this service is bi-weekly, each resident will receive a calendar identifying the days of each month that your commodities will be collected. Holidays that fall on a scheduled pickup day will be changed to Monday or Friday. Participants in the Village Recycling Program will receive bins provided by the Public Works Department. To ensure compatibility with our system, toters are available for purchase in 2008 by calling the Public Works Department at 831-3712. Recyclables should be properly rinsed and placed in the bins. Please refrain from using any unauthorized containers.

Mixed Paper and Corrugated Cardboard Pickup at the Home!
The Village of Indian Hill Public Works Department is now picking up mixed paper and cardboard on your scheduled recycling days along with the other recyclables. Residents can now place their mixed paper and cardboard with their other recycling for collection personnel to pickup. This added service will eliminate the Friday afternoon drop-off at Stephan Park. BOXES MUST BE EMPTY AND BROKEN DOWN. Large amounts of boxes must be scheduled as a pickup by calling the Public Works Department at 831-3712.

Recycling Toters will be available for residents to purchase in 2008
The Village of Indian Hill will purchase toters (large, two-wheeled storage containers with a lid) in bulk and make them available for residents to purchase at the discounted rate. The Recycling-only toters provide larger capacity storage for those residents looking for more than the provided bins allow. The covered container reduces odor as well and could be left outside. Whether you are looking for a cleaner way to store your recyclables, reduce odor, or just need more capacity between collection days; toters offer you solutions. Pricing will be available in January 2008. If you are interested in purchasing a recycling toter for storing your recyclables in lieu of the bins provided by the Public Works Department; please call 831-3712.
