| The
Village of Indian Hill has several parks and recreational
areas available for residents to enjoy. There are tennis
courts, baseball and softball diamonds, soccer and lacrosse
fields and a basketball court for athletic participation.
Walk paths, nature trails, bridle trails, playgrounds, picnic
areas, and restroom facilities are maintained for outdoor
fun and relaxation. The following is a listing and brief
description of these areas and their location.
Stephan
Field
A 4/10 of a mile, paved walking path surrounds
three baseball diamonds and a youth soccer field. There
is an extensive
playground for the kids, four tennis courts, a basketball
court, picnic tables, park benches, and a restroom facility
for family fun and leisure. A Lightning Detection System
protects the users of the park with a warning system. There
is also an entrance to The Redbirdhollow Trail, which is
a 1.5 mile trail extending from Stephan Field to the roadside
pull-off at S. Given Road. Stephan Field is located at
the intersection of Shawnee Run and Drake Road.

Sycamore Creek Area
An accessible, paved walking trail
wonders 7/10 of a mile through the woods and around the
five soccer fields contained
in the park. A Lightning Detection System covered shelter
and bleachers accommodate players and fans. Also located
at this park is the Livingston Lodge, which is available
for rental from the Village. This area is located at 9350
Given Road.

Camp Dennison Memorial Park
This park contains three baseball
diamonds, three soccer/lacrosse fields, a batting cage,
restroom facilities, and a one-mile,
paved walking path. The vast openness of this park make
it desirable for frisbee throwers, kite flyers, and radio
controlled airplanes. A wonderful playground, park benches,
and sheltered picnic tables make it ideal for families.
Phase II of this park will bring a multi-purpose field
for football/soccer/lacrosse and an additional practice
field. The participants and spectators at Camp Dennison
are protected with a Lightning Detection System, warning
them if there is any lightning in the area. A rugged walk
trail offers scenic views while following the banks of
the Little Miami River. This park is located on State Route
126 in Camp Dennison.

Rheinstrom Park
Walkers can meander
through the 27 donated acres on the 8/10 of a mile, paved
walking trail. This park contains
some wonderful specimen trees and a highly successful Blue
Bird Trail. Rheinstrom Park is located on Graves Road.

Bird Sanctuary
Through generous donations,
the Bird Sanctuary has been planted with many plant species,
which attract birds. There
is a birdbath fountain and numerous varieties of ornamental
trees and shrubs. Benches accommodate bird watchers who
enjoy the surroundings. This park is located at the intersection
of Shawnee Run and Drake Road.

Whitacre Park
Wooded hills and rolling meadows
contain a rugged walking trail. The trail is approximately
3/4 of a mile long with
a shredded bark base. There are also separate bridle trails
beginning at this park and connecting to the Village bridle
trails. Whitacre Park is located on Given Road. between
Shawnee Run and Kugler Mill Road.

Radio Range Park
Ideal for picnics, Radio Range Park has
a covered shelter and a large rolling lawn. Walking trails
and bluebird boxes
are other features that visitors love to enjoy. The land for this park was conveyed to the village by the National Park Service's Federal Lands to Parks Program in 1972. It is located on Indian Hill Road.

Bonnell Park
This rolling field and wooded hillside was
donated to the village for parkland. The accompanying building
is
the home of the Indian Hill Historical Society. Beautiful
foundation gardens and bluebirds may be seen here. Bonnell
Park is located at 8650 Camargo Road.

Drake Park
A paved 1/2 mile, walking
path surrounds three baseball diamonds and a restroom facility.
This path joins the Stephan
Field walking path by crossing Drake Road. Drake Park is
located on Drake Road.

Steer Meadow
This beautiful field is maintained as an open
vista. It is a nice place to spend a quiet afternoon. Bluebird
boxes
have been placed here to encourage their stay. Steer Meadow
is located on Keller Road between Given Road and Loveland-Madeira
Road.

Rowe Arboretum
These nine acres contain beautiful plant
specimens, including lilacs, crabapples, evergreens, dwarf
conifers, and plants
with summer interest. A walking path circles through the
Arboretum, which is located on Muchmore Road. Click here
